From Ealing Broadway station (Stop L) , take the number 65 bus to Mortlake Road Kew (Stop B) for approximately 30 minutes.

Portobello Road Market

One of the most famous market in London and the most frequented by tourists. Portobello Road is a street in the Notting Hill district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in west London. It runs almost the length of Notting Hill from south to north.

Every year also since 1966, The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event that each August, over three days (the August bank holiday Monday and the two days beforehand). It is believed to be the biggest festival in Europe. It is led by members of the West Indian community. The carnival has attracted around one million people in the past years, making it one of the largest street festivals in the world. The Monday is the best day to assist with people dancing, eating and having a good time during the all afternoon.

It is advised to go early around 10 AM on Saturday. You have everything, from Antics to clothes and Food. They do sell original clothes, bags, jewellery.

If you are still the around Lunch time it is the occasion to try one of many street food vendor with food from all around the World (i.e. French, African, Spanish).

 

Directions

Take the Central Line from Ealing Broadway station to Notting Hill Gate station for 18 minutes. Then, walk north on Pembridge Road until you reach Portobello Road.

Camden Lock Market

Camden Lock attracts both Londoners and visitors from all parts of the globe, eager to come face-to-face with some of the capital's most creative people. Like Portobello Road market you will find the same type of articles sold there and international food corner also.

From Ealing Broadway station take the Central line and stop at Oxford circus. Take then the Northern Line toward High Barnet or Edgware and stop at the Camden Town station. The journey should take 40 minutes
